We got the house about six months ago and we have not had the money for a lot else. Obviously it was a big strain for us to get hold of the money for the down payment and we have been working on building up a reserve of cash since then, so we have been doing without any sort of cable TV package and we have made do with the cheapest internet that we can find. Things are sorted out enough and we are looking at getting a package like the one they offer at http://satellitetelevisionpackages.com/ or one of those site. Obviously we want to make sure there is not a catch and it is not hard to see that we need to read the fine print before we sign on the dotted line. It is easy to get in to some long term deal that you are not able to get out of.
We have an unfinished basement. It was part of the appeal of the place. Of course all along I was thinking that if I had the money I was going to fix it up. We have lucked in to this little bit of money and that is going to get us in to a position where we can do some other stuff. In fact my father in law sort of struck it rich on this deal that I was telling him about. I was not really sure that it was a great idea when I told him, but I figured that he was a smart enough guy to look at it for himself. It turned out really well for him and he was happy to cut us in on it. Of course he has a grandchild on the way and he wants it to not be poor.
